The Black Queens have been handed a demanding assignment following the official draw for the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026 official draw held in Rabat Morocco.

Ghana was handed a tricky draw which places the Black Queens in Group D alongside Cameroon, Mali, and Cape Verde. Per the pedigree of the team in African women’s football, it is a familiar path as Ghana played in the same Group with Mali in the previous edition.

The Black Queens will be banking on experience and growing squad depth to navigate what promises to be a demanding group phase with the aim of securing a semifinal berth for the second time in a row. The tournament will kick start from 17th March to 3rd April,2026 in Morocco.
