Head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has selected a strong starting eleven for the Black Queens in their crucial 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Egypt.

Captain Portia Boakye leads the team, which features a blend of experience and youthful energy. Cynthia Konlan Fiindib starts in goal, protected by a solid backline of Josephine Bonsu, Susan Ama Duah, Comfort Yeboah, and Portia Boakye herself.

In midfield, Jennifer Cudjoe and Grace Asantewaa will control play and link up with the attack, while Alice Kusi, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, Stella Nyamekye, and Doris Boaduwaa form a dynamic forward line expected to trouble the Egyptian defense.

On the bench, Björkegren has reliable options in Afi Amenyeku, Evelyn Badu, Mary Amponsah, Princess Marfo, Nina Norshie, Nancy Amoh and Princella Adubea, offering depth and flexibility for his tactical adjustments.

The Black Queens will be aiming for a positive result in Ismailia before returning home for the second leg in Accra, as they push toward qualification for the 2026 WAFCON.
