The Black Queens paid a courtesy call to Ghana's Ambassador to Morocco, Her Excellency Charity Gbedawo, at her residence in Rabat as part of their official engagements during the 2024 TotalEnergies Women's Africa Cup of Nations. The team received a warm welcome from the Ambassador and embassy staff, marked by hospitality, shared smiles, and national pride. Her Excellency commended the Queens for their passion and resilience.

"Your journey here has inspired many. Win or lose, you have made Ghana proud, and we stand firmly behind you." Her Excellency Charity Gbedawo said.

The visit included a delightful banquet featuring traditional Ghanaian dishes, providing a taste of home and a reminder of the love and support backing the team. Team captain Portia Boakye expressed gratitude for the Ambassador's and the Ghanaian community's continuous support, noting it fuelled the team's performance.

The visit served as a morale booster ahead of the team's final match, as the Queens aim to finish strong and secure a bronze medal. Ghana will play South Africa at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Friday, July 25 at 19:00 GMT.
