Head coach Charles Sampson has invited 26 players to resume camping in Accra on Friday, October 24, 2025, as the Black Princesses begin preparations for the upcoming WAFU B U20 Girls’ Cup in Benin.

The week-long tournament is scheduled to take place from November 3 to 10, 2025, and will feature some of the most promising young female footballers from across West Africa.

The Black Princesses, who are the defending champions, will be aiming to retain the title they won in Kumasi two years ago. Ghana lifted the inaugural edition of the competition after defeating arch-rivals Nigeria 3–1 on penalties in a tense final that ended in a stalemate.

The team’s camping in Accra marks an important phase of preparation as Coach Sampson and his technical staff fine-tune tactics, fitness, and team chemistry ahead of the journey to Cotonou.

All invited players are expected to report to the team’s hotel by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, as preparations officially commence.

The WAFU B U20 Girls’ Cup continues to serve as an important platform for developing young female talent across the sub-region, offering players valuable international experience and exposure as they progress toward the senior national team.
