Black Princesses begin pre tournament tour with 6-0 win over Edge Hill

The Black Princesses have began their pre-tournament tour on Thursday when they defeated Australian side Edge Hill 6-0 in a friendly game played in Cairns, North Queensland.

Fresh from the U17 World Cup in Jordan, Striker Sandra Owusu Ansah powered the national U20 female side to an emphatic victory over the Australian side as they begin their training tour ahead of the FIFA U20 World Cup in Papua New Guinea nest weekend.

Police Ladies forward Jane Ayieyam also scored a brace with Priscilla Adubea also hitting the back of the net.

The team arrived in Australia on Tuesday where they were met on arrival by Ghana's ambassador in Australia Mrs Mercy Y. Debrah- Karikari, General Manager of FNQ Football Mr. Duncan and Rev. Kofi Boateng.

Aside Thursday's friendly match, the Coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani is expected to take his team some gym exercises on Friday morning before they switch to a high intensity training session in the evening.

The team will then play their second preparatory match on Saturday against Southside Comets before taking on JCU Strikers on Tuesday.

Team Ghana will then leave Australia next Thursday to Port Moresby, where they will be based for the U20 World Cup to be staged from November 13 - December 3.

Ghana is placed in Group C alongside USA, France and New Zealand.
