Malik Jabir's Olympic team were beaten 1-0 by Nigeria in their international friendly on Friday night.

Ghana finished the game with ten men after Black Meteors defender Richard Yamoah was sent off two minutes from the end following a tackle on Tony Edjomarigwe.

The hosts claimed all the spoils as the game capped the opening of the 30,000 capacity Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo.

Emem Eduok scored the winner in the 35th minute of the game watched by Ghana's President H.E. John Mahama and his Nigerian counterpart, Goodluck Jonathan.

The local hero, Eduok headed in the only goal after a cross from the right by Solomon Kwambe.

Ghana's Black Meteors chased the game but their tiring efforts took a turn for the worse due to the dismissal of Yamoah.
