Black Maidens captain Mukarama Abdulai wins Golden Boot at FIFA U17 WWC

Ghana U17 captain Mukarama Abdulai has won the Golden Boot after finishing as top scorer of the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup staged in Uruguay.

The 16 year old forward scored seven goals in the competition though the Black Maidens were eliminated in the quarter finals stage of the competition.

The Northern Ladies striker also won the Adidas Bronze Ball (third best player) behind Spain's Claudia Pina and Nicole Perez of Mexico.

Mukarama Abdulai has also surpassed Jane Ayieyam as Ghana's all-time top scorer in a Women's World Cup competition with Ayieyam scoring six goals scored in 2012.

The 2018 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup ended last weekend with Spain emerging as champions after beating Mexico 2-1 in the final on Saturday.
