The Black Galaxies suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat to Bafana Bafana in an international friendly played at the Dobsonville Stadium. A 57th-minute strike from Mbula proved decisive as South Africa wrapped up their final preparations for the upcoming AFCON, despite a spirited and disciplined performance from the Black Galaxies.

Rudolf Junior Nana Mensah was introduced in the second half and came close to equalising, but his effort was brilliantly denied by the South African goalkeeper before the ball came off the line after hitting the inside of the goalpost.

The Black Galaxies will now turn their attention to the 2026 CHAN qualifiers, with the encounter against South Africa serving as valuable international exposure for the team.
