A packed fixture list which would further determine the chances of teams reaching the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and the confirmation of a host nation for the tournament top the bill as Africa readies for a big weekend of football.

African football will finally get to know the destination for next year's tournament as a new host will be named by CAF after original choice Morocco decided not to host because of its fears over the Ebola outbreak on the continent.

However as the continent await the news from the football governing body, teams are ready to go, as the games kick off from Friday through to Sunday.

With the qualifying campaign at the penultimate stage, Algeria and Cape Verde are the only sides already through to the finals.

However a host of other sides are on the verge of also qualifying and their fate could be decided this weekend. Amongst them is Ghana.

The Black Stars, who are pushing for a sixth successive appearance in the finals since 2006 are in Kampala for their penultimate Group E fixture against the host, Uganda.

A win for Maxwell Konadu's side will send them through as they lead the standings on 8 points.
