betPawa Premier League launched in Accra

The 2022/23 betPawa Premier League season has been launched in Accra ahead of the big kick off this weekend.

The launch which took place at the International Conference Centre Friday night was attended by President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and Members of the Executive Council. Scores of football Administrators, the 18 Premier League Clubs, former Black Stars players and some partners of the Ghana Football Association were also present.

Others included Nana Sarfo Oduro – Executive Council Member, Chairman of the Division One League Board Kwasi Agyemang, CEO of Decathlon Ghana – Kwasi Taburi and Technical Director Bernhard Lippert. The delegation from betPawa included shareholder Mr. Eazy, Head of Media Nii Armah Ashong Katai and Daniel Osarfo.

Also present was Black Stars Technical Advisor Chris Hughton and Assistant Coach George Boateng. Hip life artist King Promise and former Ghana International Anthony Baffoe.

Our partners Max TV and StarTimes were fully represented by Maxwell Tachie – (CEO – Max TV) and Arkorfa Banson – Managing Director of StarTimes respectively.

The official mascot for the betPawa Premier League was unveiled by President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku during the launch. 'Okodie Pawa' is expected to thrill fans across League centres in the course of the season.

The official launch will pave the way for the start of the 2022/23 betPawa season. Holders Asante Kotoko will be looking ahead to a great start to the season as they host newly promoted Nsoatreman FC at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.

On the other hand Accra Hearts of Oak will travel to Dormaa to face two-time Champions Aduana FC at the Agyemang Badu Park.
