Benouza named for Ghana-Nigeria game

The Confederation of African Football has appointed Benouza Mohamed as the match referee for the quarter-final game of the 2008 African Cup of Nations between hosts, Ghana and Nigeria.

The Algeria referee will be assisted on the lines for the first quarter-final game of the tournament which kicks off at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Sunday at 17:00GMT by fellow national, Djezzar Brahim and South Africa’s Molefe Enock.

Damon Jerome, also from South Africa is the reserve referee for the match while Malawi’s Walter Nyamilandu Manda is selected as the match commissioner.

CAF have also named its Technical Study Group for the match. Sudan’s A. Hussein and Kalusha Bwalya of Zambia make up the two-man TSG.
