Eric Bekoe’s brace on Sunday against All Blacks was enough to see him sit at the top spot for goals scored in the OneTouch Premier League season as he took his tally to 17.

The feat stands out as even more impressive as the striker played his first season for Asante Kotoko after completing his transfer from Heart of Lions.

Bekoe, thus becomes the first Asante Kotoko player after Thomas Boakye to win Ghana’s coveted goal king award in the top flight league.

His goals got Asante Kotoko to a good start as the Porcupine Warriors went on to win their 21st league title.

The striker despite missing a number of games because of national team commitments still went on to finish the season with 17 goals, four clear off his competitors.

There was a joint finish at second position with Dominic Adiyah and David Anars, both completing the league season with thirteen goals.

Anars, who made his debut campaign in the premiership with Hasaacas after he was signed on during the January transfer window scored a hat-trick on the final day to see him move to thirteen goals.
