Ghana’s Bechem United ended their campaign in the Trofeo Nereo Rocco tournament in Italy by winning bronze on Friday.

The first division side beat Serbian club, Partizan Belgrade 3-1 in the third place game Gradisca.

Bechem United after topping their group which included Napoli and Udinese were considered one of the favourites for the title.

But a 0-1 defeat to Empoli in the semi finals denied them the chance to play for the title which was won by AC Milan.

The team which is attempting to gain promotion to the elite league in Ghana will now turn their focus on the domestic league campaign which is on a break after the first round.
