The 6th African Women’s Championship kicks-off on Saturday in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
The competition will feature the finest female teams on the continent namely holders Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Cameroon, Mali, Congo, Tunisia and hosts Equatorial Guinea.
Nigeria have emerged winners in all previous editions, and the seven-other finalists will be seeking to halt the 10-year run of the Super Falcons.
In the opening match, hosts Equatorial Guinea will play Cameroon in Malabo in a Group A fixture.
The hosts are making their second appearance at the championship and will be hoping for a better start after a disastrous outing two years ago in Nigeria where they failed to win a single game.
Later, Mali and Congo will wind up in the final game of the opening day.
