FC AshantiGold ’04 maintained their position at the top of Zone Two with a commanding 3-1 victory over bottom-placed UCC Youngsters on Sunday at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi. Raphael Ankamah opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a brilliant finish, giving AshantiGold a slim lead at the break. In the second half, David Nanor took control of the contest, netting a superb brace in the 69th and 78th minutes. UCC Youngsters pulled one back in the 80th minute through Issah Yusif, but it did little to threaten the leaders. AshantiGold ’04 have now amassed 23 points from ten matches.
