The Ashanti Regional Football Association is set to host the 2025 edition of the KGL Inter-District U17 Colts Football Festival from Wednesday, July 10 to Thursday, July 11. The two-day youth tournament will take place at the Alignment Astroturf in Sofoline, bringing together some of the region’s most talented juvenile footballers.

This year’s championship will feature 14 participating districts: Atwima Kwanwoma, Atwima Nwabiagya, Kwabre East, Tafo Municipal, Obuasi East, Asante Akim, Bosomtwe, Mampong Municipal, Kumasi Metro, Ejura Sekyedumase, Kwadaso Municipal, Obuasi Municipal, Amansie, and Ejisu Juaben. Each district will be fielding a team composed of U17 players selected from local colts clubs.

The competition forms part of the Ghana Football Association’s broader youth development strategy, providing a competitive platform for identifying emerging talents across the country. It also aims to enhance inter-district collaboration and promote grassroots football in the Ashanti Region.

National scouts, coaches, and football enthusiasts are expected to converge at Sofoline for what promises to be a showcase of future stars in Ghanaian football.
