Ghana would be up for a big game tomorrow as the Black Stars line up for the semi-finals match against Cameroon at the Ohene Djan Stadium tomorrow.

The Black Stars have enjoyed massive support from the expectant home fans in their four matches so far. But on Thursday, substantive Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah wants a deafening support from the fans to cease the Indomitable Lions from roaring.

Appiah in the company of team captain, John Mensah today were at Ghana’s largest shopping mall in the capital, Accra, to sign autographs for fans and solicit support for the team in the remaining games especially the semi-final match tomorrow.

Ghana’s fans according to players of the Black Stars have made a difference at the tournament and against the Cameroonians; Stephen Appiah is counting on a packed stadium to rally the team on to victory.

“The team really appreciates the support given them anytime they step out to play. It’s been wonderful and we are all grateful.

“The support handed the team during the game against Nigeria when they were a man down was fantastic and it contributed to pushing them on to win the game.

“On Thursday against Cameroon, we are asking for the same support and even more. The players are ready to die for the nation. And they would go out for victory. Fans need to come out and support them. Let’s make this happen,” the substantive captain said while signing autographs for a large gathering.

Stephen Appiah, who has remained with the team in an advisory role since the start of the tournament says he has never doubted the ability of the team and is confident of a Ghana victory.

“Just look at the performance against Nigeria. That was a class. You would tell that they were on their way to the finals.

“Cameroon is a big team but I am convinced that the attitude of our team puts them above everything. They would win and play in the final. That’s what we are made up of, winning is what we desire.”
