Kwesi Appiah is looking forward to a great opening session on Tuesday as his Ghana squad begin an important start to their World Cup preparations.

The Black Stars will gather at the Accra Stadium in the afternoon for the first part of their World Cup build-up.

And with 20 players expected to be present for the first session, Appiah acknowledges that their preparations is the important phase towards their campaign in Brazil.

"We have to ensure that everything is in line," Appiah said. "The most important period is our preparations."

"That is where we are focusing on."

Ghana's build up will include two high-profile friendly matches against Holland and South Korea before an opening Group G fixture against the U.S on June 16.

"We need to prepare very well to make sure that we get a win."

The Black Stars will spend three days in Accra before departing for Holland to continue with preparations.

Appiah anticipates lots of support for the team and wants the fans to sustain that.

"Once you are doing the right thing and getting the result, automatically, you will have the support.

"It [support] is crucial. And by God's grace we will get it," said the Black Stars coach.
