Kwesi Appiah is keen to impress as he bids to make his Africa Cup of Nations debut for Ghana in Equatorial Guinea.

The attacker, who has earned his debut call-up into Avram Grant's squad but yet to play his first competitive game is keen to prove to the Black Stars coach that he deserves his place in the squad.

"I hope to play a part in all the (remaining) games. I just have to keep working hard in training and hope I'll be selected," Appiah said.

Appiah, 24, was an unused substitute in Ghana's opening game which they lost 2-1 to Senegal on Monday.

Ghana take on Algeria in Group C at the Estadio Mongomo on Friday, a game the Black Stars must win to save their campaign and boost their chances of advancing from the group.
