Anthony Annan says he feels honoured to have been crowned Rosenborg's Player of the Year this season.

The Ghana midfielder has for the second successive time been voted as the best, pulling 42 percent of the total 4096 votes cast by fans of the club to beat Markus Henriksen who came second with 33 percent with Roar Strand placing third with 10 percent.

“It’s a great honor for me. I thank the fans for having voted for me and I’m very grateful,” Annan told the club’s website.

“All players have done a good job this year and fans have probably seen that I’ve been good.”

Annan who helped Rosenborg to their 22nd Norwegian league title this term says the just ended season would always be in his memory.

“We have performed well even in the whole year. But for me personally, I remember particularly good cup games against Start. When I scored my first and only goal for Rosenborg and then I got a red card after. The fight I will not forget, he smiles,” he added.
