Young Ghana attacker, Andre Ayew continues to enjoy some playing time with the senior national team, the Black Stars since winning his first call up this year but wants more.

The Olympique Marseille midfielder, just like his father, former Black Stars captain, Abedi Ayew earned his first Ghana cap at the age 17, after been given a late run by coach Claude Le Roy during the team’s friendly with Senegal in August.

After earning his fourth cap on Sunday during the Black Stars’ 2-0 win over Togo in the Zenith Bank 4-Nation International Tournament at the Ohene Djan stadium, Andre Ayew is praying he gets more playing time in Ghana’s subsequent matches.

“I am player and I always have to prove that I can play even if I am given just 10 minutes. It is all part of the game,” the 17 year-old midfielder said in a post game interview.

“Every player wants to play more and I am also the same. But it’s a team and even if you don’t play that much, you’ve got to contribute to the team’s success. I Hope to get more time in subsequent games.”

Ghana after Sunday’s victory line up on Wednesday against Benin in the finals of the mini tournament and the France-based player who is hoping to play more minutes than he did says the team have to do their utmost best to win the competition.

“We just have to do our best to win the 4-nation tournament. Everyone liked the way we played. But we can do more to lift the trophy.”
