Premier League champions Wa All Stars will face FA Cup Champions, Bechem United in the season-opening Super Cup match at the Tamale Stadium on Sunday.

The clash between the league winners and the FA Cup winners, christened "champion of champions", traditionally heralds the opening of the season, and this encounter officially opens the 2016/2017 season.

All Stars won their first ever league title last season, while Bechem United also became winners of the FA Cup for the first time. Regardless of who wins, history will be made, as it will be the first time the winner would have won the Super Cup trophy.
