Paa Kwesi Fabin must be feeling so disconsolate as he watched Asante Kotoko's flagging season turn for the worse after Sunday's defeat to rivals, Hearts of Oak.

The Porcupine Warriors after their 0-1 loss at the Ohene Djan Stadium to a 10-man Hearts side have slipped to 13th on the standings though they still have the personnel to haul them back into the title race.

Such a position on the table as the season approaches midway will be a bother to Fabin, the Kotoko coach.

Ghana's biggest league rivalry was settled after 21 minutes when Samuel Affum scored the day's only goal to deny Kotoko a win in their last three games.

A last minute effort by Kotoko after the dismissal of Hearts' Karim Alhassan was saved by goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy to deny the Kumasi-side a share of the spoils.

Kotoko's frustrations on the day were exposed after the final whistle was sounded as goalkeeper Soulama confronted referee Samuel Gyasi about the two-minutes added time.

Leaders, Kessben FC will rue the missed chance to widen the gap at the top as they suffered a shock 0-1 defeat to newly promoted Aduana Stars in Dormaa.

The win lifts Aduana to second on the standings, three points adrift the leaders though that could change depending on the result of the rescheduled game between Arsenals and Liberty on Thursday.

All Stars continued their winning run as they picked their third victory on the road after a rather faltering start.

The Blues were 2-1 winners at the Sekondi Stadium against Hasaacas, who are in the relegation zone, just a step above the bottom-placed side.

Ben Acheampong opened the scoring in the second half but Joe Agyemang drew the home side level with nine minutes of play remaining on the clock.

But with a minute to go, Livingstone Logoh wrapped up the game for the Blues when he scored the winner.

Two second half goals scored within five minutes by Yaw Alexander and Obed Owusu handed Chelsea a 2-0 win over New Edubiase at the Len Clay Stadium.

Real Tamale United secured a 1-0 victory over AshantiGold at the Tamale Stadium to go fourth on the table.

Great Olympics earned a point from their clash with King Faisal at the Baba Yara Stadium which ended 1-1.

Ronal Bortey put the Wonder Boys in front after 22 minutes only for Emmanuel Nsakie Odoi to draw level for Faisal 14 minutes later.

Eleven Wise managed to pick a point off Heart of Lions in their goalless drawn game in Kpando.
