It's been a fine run for Esperance in the African Champions League with their Ghanaian defender Harrison Afful sounding very confident of a title success.

The Tunisian side finished top of Group A with 13 points after a 1-0 win away to Dynamos of Zimbabwe on Saturday in the competition.

And as they prepare to take on Al Ahly in the semi-final in two weeks, Afful is aware of how strong the Egyptian side is but insists Esperance have come far as they are now two games away from the finals.

"We are ready for Al Ahly in the semi-finals, we're taking every game step by step, we are not scared of any team, and I hope that the trophy will be ours," the Ghanaian told BBC Sport.

The other semi-final would see Mazembe, who finished second to Esperance play JS Kabylie of Algeria.

The semi-final games take place in October with the champions of the competition being decided on the weekend of 12-14 November.
