Ghana coach Avram Grant will wait until the last minute before deciding whether to include Asamoah Gyan in his squad for Monday's Africa Cup of Nations Group C clash against Senegal.

The Black Stars captain did not train with his team-mates on Sunday after receiving treatment for malaria.

"We will have to wait until tomorrow to see if Gyan can make the game," said Ghana coach Avram Grant at a press conference.

"He is a very important player for us, with everything he has done for the Black Stars, so of course we would like him to play.

"If it is not the case it will be a little bit harder for us but we will our best without him."
