Aduana moved to the top of the Premier League with a vital win over Medeama at the Nana Agyeman Badu Stadium in Dormaa on Sunday.

Yahaya Mohammed edged closer to getting double figures this season as his powerful strike beat Eric Ofori ANtwi in post for Medeama.

Coach Samuel Boadu’s side managed to hold Aduana Stars throughout the first half but were unlucky in the second half as both teams started creating goalscoring opportunities.

The home fans were sent into a  jubilating mood as a well-positioned free kick on the 76th minute around the penalty area of Medeama got all of them off their seats chanting for a goal.

Yahaya Mohammed and former Ashanti Gold Captain Tijani Joshua stood by the free kick debating who to take it. A short pass from  Tijani Joshua followed a thunder bolt from Yahaya Mohammed whose shot couldn't be saved by Medeama goalkeeper.

Aduana Stars were in the drivers seat after the goal to get their first win against Medeama in four home meetings.

After the game former WAFA defender Caleb Amankwah's superb performance earned him the NASCO Man Of The Match award for Matchday7 game here in Dormaa.
