Aduana Stars would make their historic Champions League bow with an away tie in Morocco against Wydad Cassablanca.

The past two seasons has been a successful story for the Ghanaian side who are making their continental debut on Sunday.

Coach Herbert Addo's side emerged from the lower division of Ghana football to become League champions in their premiership debut and are now the country's sole representatives in Africa's flagship club competition.

However, the weekend's fixture against an experienced Wydad Cassablanca side would pose a big challenge for the Ghanaian side. But Addo insists that the club would be up for the battle.

“I am very confident that we I'll give a good account of ourselves in Morocco. It's a massive weekend for the club and everyone there is proud to be associated with it,” he said.

Aduana, according to Addo, who has enough experience in the competition following his time with former champions, Hearts of Oak, says they are only focused on the weekend's test.

“Remember this will be our first time so we will have to take it one stage at a time. It is important that we get out if this stage first,” he added.
