King Faisal Babes host Aduana FC on Match Day 19 of the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Sunday. Both sides recorded wins in their respective Match Day 18 ties but King Faisal would head into the game with an aim of recording a double over the visitors having beaten them 3-1 in the first round of the season.

King Faisal was the first side to beat Aduana FC this season – a result that opened the gates to two other home defeats against Asante Kotoko and Bechem United.

They ended their recent patchy run of form with an away win against WAFA at Sogakope to cap an impressive recovery from three defeats on the spin against Karela United (2-1), Accra Great Olympics (2-1) and Accra Hearts of Oak (1-0).

The WAFA win took them back into the top five with 29 points after 18 Premier League matches.

Bright Adjei scored two first half goals within 20 minutes as Aduana FC beat Karela United 2-0 at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park at Dormaa. The two time Champions took the lead in the 5th minute before adding the second goal in the 20th minute.

Bright Adjei – a former Tema Youth forward has scored 11 goals for the Ogya lads taking over the goal scoring mantle following the inconsistent display of Yahaya Mohammed, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Emmanuel Osei Baffuor and Benjamin Tweneboah.

Aduana FC will head into the game with revenge on their mind. They lie in 4th place in the League with 30 points – 10 points behind leaders Asante Kotoko and one point adrift of second placed Accra Great Olympics. In midfield Aduana FC boasts of some of the finest talents in the League.

Prince Acquah, Eric Kwakwa and Kwame Adom Frimpong are seasoned campaigners who have the competence to make the difference on any day – but need to play above themselves to out-muscle King Faisal in Kumasi.

In other matches – Dreams FC would aim to bounce back from their 2-0 loss to Asante Kotoko when they host bottom placed Elmina Sharks at the theatre of Dreams at Dawu. The Still Believe lads created decent goal scoring chances but failed to burry as Kotoko recovered in the 2nd half to win at home. Elmina Sharka also threw away a 1-0 lead to draw 1-1 with Accra Lions at the Nduom stadium.

At Bibiani - Gold Stars will welcome Medeama SC to the DUN’s Park on Sunday. The visitors who beat Bechem United 1-0 at home conceded a last gasp goal to draw 1-1 with the new boys in the first round of the season.

Amed Toure gave the Mauves and Yellows a precious lead in the 81st minute before Joshua Akoto equalized in added time to make it all square at Akoon Park. Matches between the two teams have always been closely contested and this is expected to be explosive.
