Albert Adomah hopes to get a chance to make his debut when the Black Stars play Swaziland on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium in a Group I 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The Bristol City player saw his excitement of an international debut cut short, following the cancellation of Ghana's friendly with Nigeria on August 9 due to widespread unrest in certain parts of London and England.

And as he prepares to head home for his Ghana debut, he did his confidence a lot of good by scoring for Bristol City in the Championship on Saturday.

The 23 year-old attacker opened the scoring for Bristol on the stroke of halftime only for Doncaster Rovers to cancel the lead in the second half, leaving the final score 1-1.

Adomah says he hopes to get the chance to play following the disappointment of the called off game.

"It (game with Nigeria) was a chance to play for Ghana, in front my family and the fans," he said.

"I would have to continue working hard and get some playing time. I used to see a few of the players and most of them on TV. But I got in and they welcomed me. It's a big family.

"The most important thing for me is to take my chances when they come. There are lots of good players and everyone wants to play."

Ghana's match against the Swazis is the penultimate Group I fixture.

The Black Stars sit top of Group I with a better goal advantage ahead of Sudan in the qualifying for the finals in Gabon-Equatorial Guinea.
