There is no doubt that Bright Addae faces a difficult task making the grade at new club Parma but the Ghanaian youngster insists he can become a success at the Italian side.

Addae joined Parma this week having signed last year but could not move because he was still under the age of 18.

However, the former All Stars central defender is delighted with the opportunity to take his game to the next step in one of the toughest leagues in the world.

“I am grateful for the opportunity but I know at the same time that I really have to work hard to make my mark there,” he says.

“For most Ghanaian players the chance to play in Europe is a glorious one and I am determined to take mine.”
