Accra Lions face Legon Cities Monday

Accra Lions will square off with Legon Cities at the WAFA Park in Sogakope on Monday.

The Matchday two pits two of the competitions best coaches, Ibrahim Tanko and Samuel Fabin against each other.

Tanko, a former Black Stars assistant coach led his side to an impressive 2-2 draw against champions Medeama SC at Akoon Park on Wednesday while Samuel Fabin, a former coach of Aduana FC led Legon Cities to an impressive come from behind 2-1 win over Karela United on Sunday.

Accra Lions have won three of their last four games against Legon Cities.

Accra Lions first recorded back to back wins over Legon Cities in their first season in the betPawa premier league (2021/22). In the corresponding campaign, Accra Lions won at at the Accra sports stadium but lost to Legon Cities at El- Wak Stadium in the reverse fixture.

 Accra Lions head coach, Ibrahim Tanko has new signings Abdul Shakun Abubakari (Steadfast FC) and Yahaya Mohammed (Tamale City) to rely on.

Legon Cities coach, Samuel Kwesi Fabin will be hoping to lead the club to their first away victory against Accra Lions following two failed attempts.
