Former Premier League side Accra Great Olympics failed to secure a victory for the sixth consecutive time in the 2025/26 Access Bank Division One League, suffering a 2-1 defeat to Semper Fi FC at the McDan Sports Complex in Teshie over the weekend. Ebenezer Kobia was the hero for the visitors, scoring a brace – one in each half – to secure all three points for Semper Fi FC. Samuel Boakye pulled one back for the home side from the penalty spot in stoppage time, but it was too late to change the outcome.
Golden Kick SC remains atop the Zone Three league table with 13 points, despite being denied a historic fifth consecutive victory following a 1-1 home draw against True Democracy on Saturday. Shaban Abubakar opened the scoring for Golden Kick SC in the 25th minute, but Mohammed Sulley equalized for the visitors with a fine header in the 49th minute.
Okwawu United, another former Premier League side, maintained their unbeaten home record in the Access Bank Division One League after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against resilient Hakla SC at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park on Sunday. Collins Ntiful opened the scoring for Okwawu United two minutes before halftime, but substitute Kofi Sarfo struck a superb equalizer in the 77th minute for Hakla SC.
