Abdul Aziz Issah is overjoyed about his debut for the Black Stars. The former Dreams FC winger feels proud to have progressed from the U-20 team to the senior squad, calling it a dream come true. Aziz says he was excited but also nervous about playing alongside experienced teammates against Trinidad and Tobago at the Gtech Community Stadium in London.

Despite the nerves, Abdul Aziz Issah was determined to seize the opportunity and prove himself. The 19-year-old says he's focused on getting more playing time with his club team, Barcelona B, believing that success there will pave the way for future opportunities.

Here is what he told ghanafa.org

On a dream come true debut

I feel very good; it’s a dream true. Every player in Ghana wants to play for the Black Stars. I feel very proud playing for the senior national team from the youth level, the U-20 to the national team is a great achievement. I feel very proud and very happy for that.

On being excited after debut

It was full of excitement when the coach told me that I will be coming on. Even though I was nervous, meeting experienced players but I was happy for the opportunity because I wanted to do well in the game and prove myself and I feel very happy for that.

On way forward

After this debut, I think it is time to stay focused, it is time to get more playing time and more games at my club level, and I think everything will be fine if I do well with my team.
