A message from FA to Nyantakyi

The Ghana Football Association has sent a message to the sport body's President, Kwesi Nyantakyi who is contesting the Zone West B slot on the Confederation of African Football's Executive Committee.

Delegates have gathered in Khartoum, Sudan for the Caf 33rd Ordinary General Assembly with elections onto the Executive Committee set for 23 February.

The goodwill message was delivered to Kwesi Nyantakyi today.

"The Ghana Football Association extends its compliments to you [Kwesi Nyantakyi] and the entire CAF delegation in Sudan.

"On the occasion of the impending election to the Executive position of CAF, the Executive Committee and entire Staff of the Ghana Football Association extend our best wishes and expectation that all your efforts and hard work will be rewarded with a resounding success in the election on Wednesday the 23rd February, 2011.

"Our hearts and prayers go with you at this moment, and we trust that your offer to serve and contribute to the development of the game of football on the continent will be appreciated by all. Good luck," the GFA's statement read.

Kwesi Nyantakyi, Anjorin Moucharafou of Benin and Hima Souley, the former Niger FA boss are contesting the Zone West B slot which has remained vacant following the retirement Sey Memene of Togo.
