League Leaders Aduana FC recorded yet another away win in the betPawa Premier League as they pip Dreams FC 1-0 at the theatre of Dreams at Dawu.

Dreams FC went into the game looking to continue their impressive home run in recent weeks having gone three games without defeat. But the Still Believe lads saw their run suffer a major setback on Wednesday. Dreams FC had a false start and allowed Aduana FC to control affairs in the opening quarter of the game.

Stephen Anokye Badu scored the only goal of the match in the 6th minute to silence the home crowd.  The League leaders were later reduced to 10-men following a red card to Richard Danso in the 84th minute mark. The numerical disadvantage did not affect the leaders as they held on to win 1-0 in Dawu – their 8th win of the season.

Aduana FC lead the table with 26 points while Dreams FC drops to the 12th spot with 19 points – 7 points of the top spot.

 

Accra Hearts of Oak dropped points at home as they were held 0-0 by Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium. Eric Osei Bonsu hot the woodwork in the 29th minute – as Hearts of Oak were let of the hook from a free kick just on the edge of the box.

Hearts of Oak later had a decent chance to take the lead but Linda Ntange shot wide.

Nii Bortey Acquaye of Legon Cities was sent off in the 48th minute after a foul on Hearts of Oak player Clinton Appiah. Enock Asubonteng nearly snatched the win for the Phobians in the closing stages but his effort hit the woodwork in the 90th minute.

Hearts of Oak are in third place with 25 points three points behind 1st placed Aduana FC and one point ahead of arch rivals Asante Kotoko who have a game in hand against Karela United on Thursday.

Nsoatreman FC handed Berekum Chelsea their sixth loss of the season as they beat them 2-1 at Nana Amoah Koramansah II Stadium. The newly promoted side scored two quick fire goals in the 50th and 52nd minute of the game through Stephen Diyou scored and Kwabena Danful.

Premier League top scorer Mezack Afriyie pulled one back in the 60th minute - his 8th goal of the season to reduce the deficit.

Tamale City picked a valuable point on the road as they held FC Samartex 1996 to a goalless draw Nsenkyire Park.

Bottom placed Kotoku Royals recorded only their third win of the season with a 3-2 win against Bibiani Gold Stars at the Cape Coast stadium.

Kotoku Royals seeking to make amends after their 5-1 loss to Asante Kotoko on Sunday. Richard Dzikoe netted the opener in the 30th minute through Richard Dzikoe before Francis Andy Kumi added to the tally in the 37th minute.

Bibiani Gold Stars pulled one back in the 58th minute as Ibrahim Laar converted from the spot to make it 2-1. Andy Kumi got his second of the day inside 70 minutes to restore their two-goal advantage.

With the game heading to a close, Abednego Tetteh got a second for Gold Stars in the 85th minute but Kotoku Royals held on to win the contest.

In Kumasi – Medeama SC recovered from their defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak to beat King Faisal 3-2 at the Baba Yara Sports stadium. King Faisal took the lead through Abdul Latif in the 14th but his goal was cancelled by Nurudeen Abdulai in the 23rd minute.

The mauves and yellows went ahead in the 27th minute after Vincent Atinga expertly converted from the spot for Medeama. Back from recess, captain Kwesi Donsu increased the tally for the visitors before Joseph Gordon pulled one back for King Faisal in the five-goal thriller.

Finally at the Fosu Gyeabuor Park – Hafiz Konkoni scored a hattrick as Bechem United defeated Real Tamale United 6-2 in an eight-goal thriller. Isaiah Nyarko netted the opener for the Hunters on the half hour mark but it was Konkoni who made the headlines following a quick-fire hat-trick in 11 minutes.

The lanky forward started in the 34th minute as he latched on to a melee to slot home.  Konkoni added to the tally two minutes later before grabbing his hat-trick in the 45th minute.

Back from the break, Real Tamale United came alive as Mohammed Sadat and Mustapha Fuseini scored in the 69th and 76th minutes to make it 4-2. But Clinton Duodu made matters worse for the visitors as he scored in quick succession to settle matters for Bechem United. Duodu grabbed a brace in the 85th and 89th minutes to condemn Real Tamale United to yet another embarrassing defeat on the road.

Bechem United have now moved t6o the 2nd spot with 26 points – two points adrift of leaders Aduana FC while Real Tamale United drops to 8th with 21 points.
