The countdown is on as the Black Queens prepare to compete at the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026, which kicks off in just 30 days.

Africa’s premier women’s football tournament gets underway on 26 July in Rabat, with hosts Morocco taking on Kenya at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium. Algeria and Senegal will open the day's action earlier at the Olympic Stadium.

The Black Queens head into the 14th edition of the competition with renewed confidence and ambition after securing a bronze medal at the previous tournament.

Having returned to the podium with a third-place finish, Ghana will be aiming to build on that impressive achievement by challenging for an even stronger finish in Morocco.

A place in the semi-finals will secure qualification for the FIFA Women’s World Cup, a target the team is determined to achieve.

The continued growth of women’s football across the continent, driven by the Confederation of African Football's increased investment in the women's game, provides the perfect platform for Ghana to showcase its quality on the biggest stage.

With expectations high and belief growing, the Black Queens will be eager to make another memorable run in Morocco as the team chase continental glory and a coveted return to the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
