The 2025/26 MTN FA Cup officially kicks off today, Friday, October 24, 2025, with eight thrilling preliminary round matches scheduled across the country.

In Tarkwa, Nsuopon Fidelity will welcome Future Stars to the TnA Stadium, while Sanakara National make the trip to the Kurt Okraku Technical Centre to face Berekum City FC.

Thought FC will host Debibi United, and Ebony FC will take on New Edubiase at the Mohammed Kamil Arena at the Sunyani Coronation Park,

Elsewhere, Fijai United will battle Bentinase Stars at Kobby’s Astro Turf, and OP Heroes FC host UCC Youngsters at the Unistar Soccer Academy Park. At the Fetteh Feyenoord Astro Turf, Fettehman United will go head-to-head with Police National.

Last season’s finalists, Golden Kick, will travel to the Nania Park for a tough clash against Attram De Visser in what promises to be one of the standout fixtures of the round.

All matches are set to kick off at 3:00 p.m. local time.

The preliminary round matches are scheduled to be played over the weekend of October 24–27, 2025. Winners from this stage will advance to join the 18 Premier League clubs in the Round of 64, where the competition is expected to intensify as lower-tier clubs aim to test their strength against the nation’s elite sides.

The MTN FA Cup continues to serve as a key platform for showcasing local talent and fostering competitive football across all tiers of the Ghanaian league structure. Over the years, the tournament has produced memorable upsets, dramatic encounters and inspiring stories from clubs across the country.

Asante Kotoko enter the new season as defending champions, following their triumph over Division One League side Golden Kick FC in last season’s final.
