Ghana and Ampem Darkoa striker, Mary Amponsah has been shortlisted for the best young player of the year in the 2023 CAF Awards - Womens category.

Mary Amponsah got nominated following her exploits in the 2023 football season.

She won the top scorer and best player awards at the end of last season as well as the Golden Boot winner at the 2023 WAFU Zone B Women's Champions League in Nigeria where she bagged eight goals to help her side win the title.

Amponsah is currently with the team for the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League.
