Ghana enter Saturday's penultimate round of qualifiers for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations against Uganda needing a win to reach next year's finals.

The Black Stars are away in Kampala for the Group E fixture which kicks off at 13:00GMT as the competition for places at next year's tournament to be staged by Equatorial Guinea reaches the final stages.

With Algeria, Cape Verde and Tunisia having secured their places alongside the hosts, the Black Stars could join the band form their group.

Maxwell Konadu's side lead the standings with 8 points from four games and know they will qualify if they record victory at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala.

Having drawn the reverse game 1-1 in Kumasi back in September, the caretaker Black Stars coach is hopeful despite the fact that Ghana will be without skipper Asamoah Gyan and Kwadwo Asamoah with both ruled due to injury.

"We respect Uganda and predict a hard battle. But we would wish to complete the qualification task in Kampala," Konadu said.
