The 16-team field for next year’s African Nations Cup finals has been completed after Sunday's final matches in the qualifiers.

Morocco and Sudan have taken the two remaining qualifying spots for the 2012 finals. Morocco beat Tanzania 3-1 on Sunday night to finish top of Group D.

Despite being beaten 2-0 at home by Ghana on Saturday, Sudan, who finished the Black Stars in Group I have qualified after being confirmed as the best-placed runners-up and qualify along with the 12 group winners.

The list of 2012 Nations Cup qualifiers are Angola, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Mali, Morocco, Libya, Niger, Senegal, Sudan, Tunisia and Zambia.

They are joined by co-hosts Gabon and Equatorial Guinea to make up the field of 16 for the tournament from Jan. 21 to Feb.12.

All sides would have to await the group draw on October 29 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea to know their opponents.

The 2012 Nations Cup will be the last tournament to be played in an even year. From 2013, the final will be played in odd years to avoid clashing with the World Cup.
