Frimpong Manso coach of Ghana’s male Under-17 team says he's delighted with the all-round performance of the Black Starlets during their friendly against Rwanda on Sunday.

The Black Starlets finished the game 5-1 winners at the El-Wak Stadium and the team's coach explains that the scoreline justified their efforts ahead of the first round qualifying for the African U-17 Championship against Zambia in three weeks' time.

"I am satisfied with our preparations towards the game against Zambia. Though the game [against Rwanda] was just a friendly, it gave us an idea of our level.

"We can step up but I liked the way my team played. They kept the ball well and their shape when we didn't have the ball was good," the Ghana coach said after the game.

Striker Nasiru Mohammed scored four goals on the day with John Nyamekye being the other scorer in the rout against 2011 African Under-17 championship hosts, Rwanda.

The Black Starlets will travel away to Zambia for the first leg on the weekend of August 27-29.
