POWER TO THE YOUTH: Oloboi Commodore Appointed Chairman of KGL Inter-Regional Championship Committee
Board Member of Accra Great Olympics, Oloboi Commodore, has been named as the Chairman of the KGL Inter-Regional Championship Committee. Commodore, a former General Manager of Accra Great Olympics, is highly respected within football circles for his vast experience and managerial acumen, particularly for his leadership roles with the Wonder Club.
He will be supported by Eric Opoku, Chief Executive Officer of Techiman Heroes FC, who takes up the position of Vice Chairman. Together, the duo will lead the planning and execution of the prestigious Inter-Regional Championship, which serves as a platform to unearth and nurture the next generation of Ghanaian football talent.
Other members of the Committee include Abdulai Amidu, President of Kumasi-based Namoro FC and a serving member of the National Juvenile Committee; Faruk Abdulai, CEO of Northern City FC and colts football enthusiast Albert Nii Borte Kotey.
Completing the list is the Greater Accra Regional Juvenile Committee Chairman and member of the National Juvenile Committee Michael Fiaduse and former Ghana international Stephen Baidoo. Baidoo, a former Black Stars midfielder, represented Ghana at the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and was also a member of the Black Stars squad at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
The formation of this Committee reflects the GFA’s commitment to youth development and talent discovery across the country.
With a blend of experienced administrators and former national team players, the Committee is expected to deliver an exciting and well-structured tournament that strengthens the foundation of Ghana football.
