The Ghana Football Association has called for a minute's silence at Premier and Division One League matches this weekend in honor of the late Ben Koufie.

The former GFA Chairman, National team coach and ex national player passed away last Monday at the Korle Bu hospital at the age of 84.

The late Mr. Koufie served as GFA Chairman from 2001-2003 after serving as technical for other football federations across the continent.

Ghana FA has tasked match officials including referees and match commissioners to make sure that the minutes silence is observed.

Teams are entreated to wear black arm bands in honor of the departed GFA boss.
