KIVO/JLAB has been named the headline sponsor of the newly introduced Colts U-17 Clubs Championship for the next three years, in a major boost to the Football Association’s efforts to strengthen youth and grassroots football development.
President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku confirmed the three-year partnership during the official launch of the 2026/27 Colts Football Season at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
The new championship has been introduced to provide Colts Clubs across the country with a structured, competitive platform through which young footballers can regularly test themselves, develop their abilities and gain valuable match experience.
The competition is expected to become an important component of Ghana’s youth football development system, providing a clear avenue for emerging talents to showcase their potential in a competitive environment.
The Colts U-17 Clubs Championship forms one of the key pillars of the new partnership between the Football Association and the KIVO/JLAB brand, with the three-year commitment providing a strong foundation for the growth and sustainability of the competition.
The championship will also complement the GFA’s wider investments in Colts football, including logistical support for clubs, coaching education, player registration and other grassroots development initiatives.
