Essien down with injury, to sit out for two weeks
Michael Essien will be out for two weeks after suffering a thigh injury, AC Milan announced today.
The Ghana midfielder who replaced compatriot, Sulley Muntari halfway through Milan's win over Chievo last weekend will undergo further tests in ten days time.
A statement by Milan said: "AC Milan wishes to communicate that Michael Essien has picked up an injury to his right thigh. The player will undergo further tests in ten days time."
