The Football Association has unveiled another historic support package for Colts Clubs, with each registered club set to receive football bibs every year for the next three seasons.
GFA President and CAF 2nd Vice-President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, announced the initiative during the official launch of the 2026/27 Colts Football Season at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
The initiative represents a significant new investment in the Colts football structure and forms part of the Football Association’s broader commitment to strengthening grassroots football through sustained logistical and technical support.
Under the new arrangement, every registered Colts Club in good standing will receive two sets of training bibs annually, providing clubs with essential equipment to support training sessions, player development and the organisation of grassroots competitions.
The intervention is particularly significant as it marks the first time the GFA is providing such dedicated, multi-year bib support to Colts Clubs, further demonstrating the GFA's commitment to creating better conditions for young footballers to develop their talents.
The GFA has also committed substantial resources to developing the human capacity required to sustain grassroots football, including investments in coaching education and plans to expand training opportunities for scouts, referees, administrators and other key stakeholders.
President Simeon- Okraku said the interventions form part of the GFA’s deliberate strategy to strengthen the foundations of Ghana football by ensuring that Colts Clubs have access to the basic resources and support required to operate effectively.
