Former Black Stars Team Manager, Ameenu Shardow, has been appointed as Head of Strategic Diaspora Program for the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The appointment forms part of the GFA's new strategic drive to strengthen engagement with Ghanaian players and football stakeholders in the diaspora.
In his new role, Shardow will lead the Association's efforts in identifying, engaging, and building relationships with Ghanaian players born or raised abroad, as well as fostering stronger collaboration with diaspora clubs, academies, and communities.
He will work closely with the Technical Directorate, Ghana Missions abroad, parents of Ghanaian players abroad, scouts, and the National Teams Department in the discharge of his duties.
His experience in team management and player relations is expected to be instrumental as the GFA seeks to streamline its approach to talent identification and transition of diaspora-born players into the national teams. Meanwhile, a new Team Manager for the Black Stars will be announced soon.
