The Black Starlets have wrapped up preparations for their crucial semi-final encounter against Ivory Coast at the 2026 WAFU Zone B U17 Championship in Burkina Faso.

The team held their final training session on Monday at Salitas Academy Complex as they fine-tuned their preparations ahead of the highly anticipated clash against the Ivorians.

The Black Starlets will face Ivory Coast on Tuesday at the 4th August Stadium in Ouagadougou, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 GMT. Both sides will be aiming to secure a place in the final of the competition.

Ghana head into the semi-final with confidence after an unbeaten run in the group stage. The team topped Group A with seven points from three matches, recording victories over Togo and Benin before playing out a goalless draw against hosts Burkina Faso.

Ivory Coast, meanwhile, secured their place in the last four after drawing 1-1 with Nigeria on Saturday to finish second in Group B, behind group winners Niger.

The encounter carries significant stakes, as the winner will not only advance to the tournament final but also secure qualification for the 2027 U17 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to be hosted by Morocco.

The Black Starlets will be determined to maintain their unbeaten record and overcome Ivory Coast as they pursue a place in the final and a ticket to the continental showpiece.
