The technical team of the Black Starlets will welcome the second batch of players to the GFA Technical Centre, the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence (GSCE) in Prampram on Monday as the nationwide screening exercise continues ahead of the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations. The selected players are expected to report by 12 noon as the team intensifies its search for the best young talents to represent Ghana on the continental stage.

The first batch of 25 players, who reported earlier in the week, are set to complete their screening on Friday, November 14, 2025. The session, led by head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has focused on evaluating the players’ physical condition, technical qualities and overall readiness for the demands of international football. According to the technical team, the exercise has so far been smooth, competitive and encouraging.

With the completion of the first phase, attention now shifts to the second group, who will begin their assessment on Monday.

The 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations will be staged in Morocco in April, and Ghana is keen on assembling a competitive team capable of challenging for the title and securing qualification to the FIFA U-17 World Cup. The ongoing screening exercise is therefore a vital component of the Starlets’ roadmap toward a successful campaign.
