Ghana international Hamza Mohammed is still searching for a club after the Scottish side St. Johnston refused to sign him after a period of trials.

The former national U-20 captain has been clubless since he was released from a short term contract at New Zealand Knights in the Australian A league.

Reports say Hamza impressed in training but the Saint Johnston staff concluded he was short on match fitness. And with the side in poor form, manager Owen Clyde said he was looking for a player to add to the first team straight away.

Hamza has a wealth of experience after representing Ghana at the junior level and playing in two African Cup of Nations tournaments.

He last featured for his home town club Real Tamale United after spells at King Faisal and Asante Kotoko but has been on a trial spree at Leeds United and Dundee United in a bid to fulfill a lifetime ambition to play in Europe.
